Airica Kraehmer

Airica D. Kraehmer is an American anti-human trafficking activist, author, public speaker, and entrepreneur recognized for her work in human rights advocacy and survivor support. Kraehmer is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she balanced multiple jobs, including modeling, to support herself through school. Her experiences in the fashion industry significantly influenced her career trajectory.

After relocating to New York City to pursue modeling, Kraehmer encountered exploitative conditions through a management agency that imposed strict controls and required her to work at nightclubs to cover rent. During this period, she survived a violent trafficking ordeal, which became the foundation for her advocacy against human exploitation.

Kraehmer is the author of "Models Stop Traffic: How to Dodge Enslavement in Pursuit of Your Dream to Become the Next Top Model," a book that draws from her personal experience and provides guidance on avoiding exploitation in the modeling industry. She contributed to the international bestseller "INVINCIBLE" with her chapter "A Phoenix's Path," sharing insights on overcoming trauma. Kraehmer expanded her "Model Survivor" series with "Trafficking Aftermath: How to Be Happy After Trauma," focusing on healing and recovery, and authored "Her Wounded Masculine: Poetry for a Women Discovering Power," a poetry collection addressing personal empowerment.

Kraehmer is the founder and CEO of Flying with Air, Miami's first sensory immersive healing sanctuary, and serves as executive director of FWA Survivors, a nonprofit organization dedicated to survivor support and advocacy. She offers one-on-one coaching and hosts the interview and podcast "Who Am I?" to help individuals share their stories. Kraehmer has been recognized at events such as the Warrior of Hope Miami Women's Award Gala and participated in the reading of the Florida Proclamation for A Future for Every Survivor Day at the Elite Foundation Warriors Lock Shields Anti-Human Trafficking event. She is an active public speaker on topics including human trafficking awareness, human rights, mental health, and overcoming adversity. Through her books, public speaking, and nonprofit leadership, Kraehmer continues to educate and support survivors and communities in the fight against human trafficking.
