Adrian Koehler

Adrian Koehler is a leadership engagement expert and the founder and senior partner of Take New Ground, a global executive coaching, training, and consulting firm based in Los Angeles. Koehler coaches executives and entrepreneurs in leadership development, organizational culture, and team performance. Take New Ground partners with executives and organizations to achieve results by shaping effective workplace cultures. Koehler is recognized for a direct approach in the executive coaching industry.

Koehler's background spans philanthropy, ministry, activism, and medicine. He has worked in high-pressure environments and specializes in navigating difficult conversations. His experience includes serving as a pediatric intensive care specialist at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, as well as roles as a pastor and community organizer at Mosaic LA. Koehler also founded Serve LA, a community initiative focused on holistic development for marginalized and vulnerable populations in Los Angeles. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Millikin University, where he also played football.

Before founding Take New Ground, Koehler was the executive director of The Cornerstone Project, a foundation supporting life transformation and spiritual reconciliation for individuals with criminal histories. His work with people at critical crossroads, from hospital settings to prison outreach programs, informs his current approach to leadership coaching. Koehler frequently addresses topics such as overcoming the victim mindset, fostering workplace cultures that encourage learning from failure, and maintaining alignment between personal and professional goals.
