Aaron Schumm

Aaron Schumm is the founder and CEO of Vestwell, a fintech platform focused on improving access to workplace and individual savings programs in the United States. With more than two decades of experience in financial technology, Schumm has positioned Vestwell as a key provider in the savings economy, enabling financial institutions, payroll companies, and state-sponsored initiatives to offer streamlined, affordable, and inclusive savings solutions such as 401(k), 403(b), IRA, 529 College, and ABLE Savings programs. Vestwell supports a range of state-mandated retirement plans, expanding access to retirement options for businesses of all sizes, including small employers.

Before founding Vestwell, Schumm co-founded FolioDynamix, a wealth advisory startup later acquired by Envestnet, and held roles at financial institutions including Northern Trust, Citigroup, and Fiserv. His experience with the complexities of setting up retirement plans for employees informed his approach to reducing barriers and democratizing financial wellness.

Schumm has spoken at global forums such as the World Economic Forum and the Milken Institute, and has been featured in industry events and publications. He also serves as an advisor to organizations like OfColor, which addresses financial wellness for employees of color.
