A.J. Green

Retired professional football wide receiver, A.J. Green, played 12 seasons in the National Football League, primarily with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played college football at the University of Georgia Bulldogs football and was selected fourth overall by the Bengals in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Green quickly established himself as one of the league’s most productive receivers. In his rookie season, he was named to the 2012 Pro Bowl, becoming the first rookie wide receiver in eight years to earn Pro Bowl honors. Throughout his career, Green earned seven Pro Bowl selections, reflecting his consistency as a top-tier offensive weapon.

From 2011 through 2013, Green recorded 260 receptions during his first three seasons, which ranked as the most in NFL history at the time before the record was later surpassed by Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr.. He recorded six seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards, demonstrating sustained high-level performance as a downfield receiver known for precise route running and strong contested-catch ability.

During his tenure with Cincinnati from 2011 to 2020, Green finished second in franchise history behind Chad Johnson in receiving yards, receiving touchdowns and total receptions.

In 2021, Green signed with the Arizona Cardinals, where he played his final two professional seasons before retiring from football. Since leaving the NFL, Green has remained involved in football-related activities and public appearances, maintaining a presence within the sports community while transitioning into post-playing career opportunities.
