Tauheed Epps, known professionally as 2 Chainz, is a prominent figure in hip-hop, recognized for his versatility and longevity in the music industry. Epps began his career as a founding member of the Atlanta-based duo Playaz Circle, which gained national attention with the rap-R&B-pop crossover hit "Duffle Bag Boy" featuring Lil Wayne. After years with Playaz Circle, Epps launched his solo career, establishing himself as a multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning MC.

Epps achieved widespread recognition through collaborations on tracks such as Kanye West's "Mercy" and Nicki Minaj's "Beez in the Trap." His debut solo album, "Based on a T.R.U. Story," released by Def Jam, produced three platinum singles: "No Lie" featuring Drake, "Birthday Song" featuring Kanye West, and "I'm Different." The album reached number one on the Billboard 200 and earned Grammy nominations for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for "Mercy," as well as Best Rap Album. Epps later won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance for his contribution to Chance the Rapper's "No Problem." Epps has released several albums that reached the Top Ten, including "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music" and "Rap or Go to the League." In addition to his music career, Epps hosted the reality television series "Most Expensivest" on Vice TV, which explores luxury items across various categories. He is also a minority owner of the College Park Skyhawks, affiliated with the G-League under the NBA franchise Atlanta Hawks. Epps co-founded the TRU Foundation, an organization focused on supporting youth and fostering positive relationships. His "Chain Reaction" sneaker collaboration with Versace achieved significant commercial success.
