Martin Sheen

Martin Sheen is an actor whose career spans more than six decades in film and television. Sheen first gained recognition with a Tony Award-nominated performance in the Broadway play "The Subject Was Roses," a role he reprised in the film adaptation. He delivered notable performances in Terrence Malick's crime drama "Badlands" and Francis Ford Coppola's Vietnam War film "Apocalypse Now," the latter earning him a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Actor. Over his career, Sheen has appeared in more than 65 feature films, working with directors such as Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Richard Attenborough, and Oliver Stone.

Sheen's television work includes his portrayal of President Josiah Bartlet in NBC's drama "The West Wing." The role earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series – Drama, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and six Primetime Emmy Award nominations. His accolades include three Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
