Dante Roscini

Dante Roscini is a senior lecturer in the Business, Government and the International Economy unit at Harvard Business School. Mr Roscini holds an M.B.A. from Harvard (1988) and a summa cum laude Laurea degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Rome, Italy (1981). Before coming back to HBS Mr Roscini spent twenty years in investment banking with senior positions at the three top US bulge bracket firms in New York and London. He was Head of European Capital Markets for Goldman Sachs (1988-1998), Head of Global Equity Capital Markets and Head of the European Capital Markets and Financing Group for Merrill Lynch (1999 – 2004) where he was also a member of the Capital Commitments Committee and of the Managing Directors Promotions Committee. Finally, he was Country Head of Italy and Chairman of European Capital Markets for Morgan Stanley. He was also a board member of Morgan Stanley International Bank (2005 –2008). He is currently a member of the board or advisory board of several European companies. He is an honorary member of the Foreign Policy Association.

Mr Roscini has broad management experience in the areas of general management, strategy, finance, budgeting and planning, risk management and personnel. His particular expertise is in the global capital markets. He personally led many privatisations and Initial Public Offerings in a number of countries, several of which represented “first of a kind” transactions. In his last position he was responsible for Investment Banking, Private Wealth Management, Asset Management, Private Equity, and Sales and Trading regionally. Prior to his career in investment banking Mr Roscini worked as a researcher in nuclear archaeometry at the University of Rome, as a design engineer and project manager with Westinghouse Electric Corp. in the US and as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in Paris.
