Charles T. Harris III

Mr. Charles T. Harris III serves as the Chief Executive Officer and a Managing Partner at Harris Capital Partners L.P. Mr. Harris has been a Limited Partner at Goldman Sachs Group LP since December 1996 and was a General Partner at Goldman Sachs Group LP for more than five years before December 1996. Mr. Harris served as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co. from April 1999 until November 2002. He joined Goldman Sachs as an Associate in 1980 and became a Partner in 1988. Mr. Harris was Co-Head of Corporate Finance in the Americas from 1993 to 1996. He was also the Head of Investment Banking Recruiting for several years, a Founding Member of the Partners' Practices Committee, and served on the firm-wide Diversity Committee, the Commitments Committee and as a Director of the Pine Street Leadership Program. Mr. Harris has been a Director of Scholastic Corp. since 1996 and is Member of Executive Committee. He serves as Director Scholastic Corporation, Critical Power, Inc., and IP Value Management, Inc. Mr. Harris serves as a Trustee of Phillips Exeter Academy. He served as a Director of Georgia Gulf Corp. since February 1999 and was a Member of Compensation and Audit Committees. Mr. Harris is the Chairman of the board of the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, Inc. He serves as a Director of College Summit and as a Member of the Advisory Council of Horizons Student Enrichment Program. Mr. Harris is also a Member of the Committee on University Resources at Harvard University, and of the Dean's Advisory Council at MIT's Sloan School of Management. He earned his bachelor's degree at Harvard University and holds a master's degree in Business Administration from M.I.T.'s Sloan School of Management.
