Barbara Collins

As founder and president of Positive Trends, Inc., Barbara has over 25 years of experience as a professional speaker, professor, author and corporate executive. Her signature presentation and book entitled It’s Your Turn: Find Your Authentic Self and Go Fetch It! helps people manage midlife transformation and discover their authentic self.

She shares “funtastic” tips to discover natural strengths, engages her audiences in an energetic and heartwarming approach to self discovery and reveals the benefits of living an authentic midlife. Barbara has a passion for helping people discover what comes easy to create an authentic second or third career. She loves to take people on a journey to find ways to increase income using natural strengths.

Barbara is an adjunct faculty professor in a college in Pennsylvania where she teaches leadership in a master’s degree program. She uses her corporate experience to help students become authentic leaders. Her popular workshop “Discovering Your Authentic Leadership Style” for corporate executives transforms leadership skills to a new level of high performance.

Barbara received her Ed.D at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, in adult-learning based Psycho Educational Processes Dept. (psychology of small group behavior), specializing in Training & Development and Organizational Development and her M.S degree in Counseling Psychology at Antioch University, Yellow Springs, Ohio. Barbara has written numerous articles for her newsletter and magazine publications.

Barbara is certified in Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and Advanced MBTI-Mid Life Development. She is also a member of the National Speakers Association. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The Society Inc. (an organization that promotes youth in the arts).
