Talia Moore

Talia Moore is the daughter of Larita (Simpson) Hand and James Simpson. Talia (Simpson) Moore came into the world on August 4, 1978 along with her twin sister Sherita (Simpson) Searcy. From an early age Talia loved movies. At the age of 14 Talia attend commercial and acting classes at FACES International in New York City. From there Mrs. Moore when on to star in infomercials of health care products and enrolled in the Louis Williams Academy Of Performing Arts where she learned the art of stage production, stage writing and set design.

During her high school years, Mrs. Moore attended DVJCC where she co-wrote and co-produced the stage play , "Cold Realities," at the age of 17. Ms. Moore received commendation from the school's principal and receive the Student Of The Month award for her efforts.

After years of being away from stage writing and productions, in 2003 Ms. Moore settled in to write, "Mamma Don't Cry." A account of her life as a child growing up with an abusive father and recounting her mother's trails as she attempts to save her and the life of her siblings from the hand of their abusive father. Hands Down Tour was formed as a medium to give abuse awareness information to viewers and also sponsor agencies who provided care or shelter to women and children who had been victims of abuse.

Following, "Mamma Don't Cry," in 2005 Mrs. Moore wrote, "The Customer," an action thriller of an demented customer who stalks and attaches himself to a clerk that resembles his abusive mother.

In 2006, after watching the remake film rendition of Dream Girls, Mrs. Moore was inspired to write, "Return Of The Wiz," a favorite movie of her childhood that was always a passion of hers to rewrite.

In 2007, Mrs. Moore was introduced to Betty Williams a book writer who wrote a personal memoir of her rendition of an abusive childhood principal that molested young male students of Byromville Elementary School during the early 1960's. Mrs. Moore took on the project to produce, direct and write the script for the, "Hidden Secret Documentary," which recounts the stories of former students who endure abuse at the hands of the principal who over came hurt who can now give hope to others.

In the past Mrs. Moore has volunteered time to teach dance and performing arts to at-risk youth working with the local school and church organizations such as; Johnson City School Middle School, George F. Johnson Dream Center, Beautiful Plain Baptist Liturgical Dance Group and First Assembly of God Youth Summer Group (God Steppers).

Mrs. Moore has also given her time to serve as a Co-Fundraising Coordinator for Binghamton Regional Sustainability Coalition, which gives cause to green issues. Ms. Moore served as Co-Coordinator for NS Grocery Store project with local government officials to bring about food access to low-moderate income producing neighborhoods. Finally, Ms. Moore has assisted Fairview Recovery Services staff with creating a grant writing project to help build an incentive program to serve their clientel.

Mrs. Moore has a heart to serve the viewing population with future film and stage scripts written, produced and directed by DT Productions. Mrs. Moore will continue to strive to serve her community and provide a platform for the voices that are yet to be heard.
