Spirit’s newest television project, #MyCurrentSituation: Atlanta, is turning up the volume on America’s conversations on love, life, relationships, and everything in between louder than ever. The all new series, which premieres on the Centric network August 20th, features the Licensed Psychotherapist, media personality, wife and devoted mother of SIX, answering life’s most challenging questions straight, no chaser while helping three amazing women transform their lives.

As a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), certified Parenting Coordinator (PC), Ordained Marriage Officiant and Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Facilitator, Spirit’s quick witted approach and practical advice makes her an instant favorite among audience members and production teams alike.

Spirit’s quest to change the nation’s perspectives on mental health issues began over a decade ago when she hosted the nightly sex talk show, “The Pleazure Zone.” The three-hour, live call-in show allowed listeners to get answers and information about all things love, sex, relationships.

Since that time, this Creative Artists Agency (CAA) talent has gone on to not only become a nationally recognizable Relationship Expert, Social Commentator and Life Coach, but a transformative voice heard round the world. Spirit works with couples, single men and women, adolescents, and youth as a therapist, life coach, researcher, motivational speaker, and workshop facilitator. In addition to helping individuals tackle life’s everyday problems, Spirit’s specialties include: parenting and family issues, relationship intimacy, and educating the public on mental health issues in a way that promotes empathy, understanding, and eliminates stigma. She is active in, “The Campaign to Change Direction,” mental health awareness program developed under First Lady, Michelle Obama, and Dr. Jill Biden and was recently nominated for a WEGO Mental Health Activist Award for, “Best Kept Secret.”

In addition to her work behind the camera and microphone, Spirit has transformed countless lives as the former host of Fox’s, “The Daily Helpline,” and SiriusXM’s nightly radio show, “Talking with Spirit.” Spirit is currently the therapist for TVOne’s breakout series, “Rickey Smiley for Real,” and is also a reoccurring guest expert on several national programs including HLN’s, “Dr. Drew: On Call,” “The Bill Cunningham Show,” and, “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show.”
