Sean W. Hadley

Mr. Hadley is an attorney who focuses on federal and state education policy as Assistant Director of Government Relations for the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association. Mr. Hadley represents the interests of public school leaders before the State Board of Education, the State Legislature, the Governor’s Office, and the U.S. Congress.

The New Jersey Department of Education appointed Mr. Hadley to serve as a member of the No Child Left Behind Advisory Council, where he currently advises the state on the law’s implementation. Mr. Hadley is also the author of several education articles.

Prior to joining NJPSA, Mr. Hadley worked with the National Governors Association in Washington, DC where he represented the nation’s governors on education and workforce issues. Mr. Hadley led the Governors’ legislative efforts on the Workforce Investment Act, helped restore funding for certain education programs, and worked with Congress on the Reauthorization of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Mr. Hadley previously worked as a lobbyist with the New Jersey School Boards Association, practiced law in Cherry Hill and Philadelphia, and served as a legislative staff member for the United States Senate Minority Leader. In addition to his law degree, Mr. Hadley holds a Masters of Science Degree in Public Policy from the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University, where he also was a fellow at the Eagleton Institute of Politics.
