Ruth E. Sherman

 Ruth Sherman, M.A., is an internationally recognized authority on speech and interpersonal communication.

Ruth’s focus is preparing business leaders, politicians and celebrities to leverage crucial public communication opportunities, including presentations for keynotes, investor presentations, road shows, awards presentations, political campaigns and media contact.  In addition, she is an executive coach and designer/facilitator of dynamic workshops and seminars.

As a speaker, Ruth is highly sought after and has addressed many associations including the Institute for Management Consultants (IMC), International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Women in Communications and The Princeton Club of New York. She has been featured in the New York Times, New York Post, Wall Street Journal, Miami Herald, on ABC Television, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox Channel 5’s Good Day New York, NY 1 and the BBC.

As a seasoned political observer, Ruth comments extensively on elections, focusing on candidates’ communication skills and arguing that these skills are critical to a successful race. As a faculty member of the Women’s Campaign School at Yale University, she has addressed and coached hundreds of candidates running for office.

Ruth began her professional life as a performer in New York, focusing on commercial singing and announcing. As one of a handful of successful jingle-singers, her voice was heard around the world on commercials for such clients as Coca-Cola, Ford, Michelob and Clairol. After receiving a master’s degree in speech and interpersonal communication from New York University, she opened her consulting and speaking business.

Ruth Sherman resides in Connecticut. She is an active volunteer and board member of the non-profit organization The Women’s Business Development Center.
