Roman Shpek Biography
Roman Shpek is Ukrainian statesman, Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary. In 1992-1993 Mr. Shpeck served as first Deputy Minister of economy of Ukraine, in 1993 -1995 - as Minister of economy of Ukraine, and in 1995-1996 - as a Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for economic issues. In 1996 he started to work on a position of Chairman of the National agency for reconstruction and development, after that – Chairman of the National agency for development and European integration issues. Since 2000 he was Head of Ukraine’s Mission to the European Union until 2008 when he was appointed as Vice-president of Alfa-Bank (Ukraine). Since 19.10.2010 he works as a Senior Advisor in Alfa-Bank (Ukraine). From 2010 Roman Shpek is appointed as an advisor to President of Ukraine and serves as Member of the NBU Supervisory Board. Mr. Shpeck graduated from Lviv technical institute majoring as technology engineer (1976) and in 1991 he got Master of business administration in international economics at International institute of management in Kiev.
