Peter Wheeler

Mr. Peter Wheeler serves as the Chairman of IPValue. Mr. Wheeler serves as a Member of Advisory Board at New Venture Partners LLC and the Chairman of Futurebuilders. Mr. Wheeler is an investor and a Senior Non-Executive Director of Climate Change Capital. He has a wealth of experience in the investment banking arena and has pursued a number of entrepreneurial opportunities. Mr. Wheeler is an active personal investor in India. He was a Managing Director of iFormation’s London office. Mr. Wheeler was one of the founders of the company in late 2001 while working at iFormation Group. He began his career with Goldman Sachs New York in 1985 in domestic corporate finance and before that currency derivative. Most recently, Mr. Wheeler was a Managing Director in Goldman Sach's London office, where he was responsible for the firm¹s investment banking relationship with a number of major global corporations based in Europe. Previously, Mr. Wheeler established Goldman Sachs' investment banking practice in Hong Kong beginning in 1991 for coverage of Asia, and spent seven years as the Co-Head of Investment Banking in Asia. He spent considerable time in India, the People’s Republic of China, South Korea, Indonesia, and Singapore. Mr. Wheeler became a Partner of the firm in 1994, and returned to the United Kingdom at the end of 1998. He served till 2001 at the firm. He also invests personally in a wide range of early-stage businesses characterized by innovation of technology or business model. Mr. Wheeler was a Non Executive Director of Supervisory Board of Actis Capital, LLP. He is the Founder and Trustee of New Philanthropy Capital; and of Charity Technology Trust. Mr. Wheeler is also a Partner in Social-Impact a new program for developing social entrepreneurs at a grass-roots level in the developing world. He is a Board Member of the Michael Young Foundation and sits on the Investment Advisory Committee of UnLTD. Mr. Wheeler holds a B.A., with honors, in English Language and Literature from Christ Church, Oxford.
