Peter Chapman

Peter Chapman is the founder of GPS Business Solutions, an independent consulting practice that provides services to producers and manufacturers who want to increase their sales to large centrally structured retailers such as Loblaws, Sobeys or Wal Mart. The business also provides detailed information about the market in Atlantic Canada to retailers operating in the region.

Prior to opening his own consulting practice, Peter worked for 19 years with Canada's largest food retailer; Loblaws. The positions Peter held in various departments including real estate, marketing, advertising and merchandising give him an in depth understanding of food retailing.

With a background in produce, deli, home meal replacement, seafood, bakery and floral he has considerable experience from developing relationships with suppliers through the supply chain system to merchandising at retail. An in depth understanding of every level of decision making in the major retailers is invaluable to clients who want to grow their sales. His role prior to leaving Loblaws was responsibility for delivering sales and bottom line for produce, bakery, floral and garden center in all stores across Atlantic Canada.
