Nathan Hughes oversees Stratfor's tactical team and its analytic efforts on issues around the globe. He is also a military expert, covering global defense issues and providing military context for wider geopolitical analysis. This includes both on-going military conflict and emerging trends, from the war in Afghanistan to strategic weapons systems, naval developments and the weaponization of space.
Mr. Hughes also integrates the company’s myriad sources of information into a variety of products for Stratfor clientele and regularly briefs clients on a variety of defense and military-related topics.
Mr.Hughes is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and Mr.Hughes holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. He is regularly featured in major media outlets all over the world including the BBC, CNBC, CNN, Fox News, Newsweek, Popular Mechanics, Christian Science Monitor, Navy Times and The National Journal.
