Liza Kindred Biography
Liza founded Third Wave Fashion in 2011 because she wanted to bring her in-depth knowledge of technology back to the world of fashion. She was previously Managing Partner of the successful open source software company Lullabot where she worked with clients like Martha Stewart and MTV UK. She helped grow that company from 2 guys to a team of 50 people. Before her work in technology, she worked in fashion: as a stylist, a model scout, a fashion editor, manager of a $50M retail store, and a fashion event producer – and the very first business she owned was a bricks-and-mortar clothing boutique.
Liza is obsessed with technology and how it’s shaping the future of commerce – and the world of fashion. So obsessed, in fact, that she’s literally writing the book about it: The Third Wave of Commerce: How We Buy Now, which will be published by O’Reilly in the fall of 2015. She’s got a second book in the works as well, about designing for wearable tech and connected devices.
Liza is all about wearables, the future of commerce and the state of fashion tech. She lives in NYC.
