Linda A. Mills

Ms. Linda A. Mills has been Corporate Vice President and Member of Corporate Policy Council at Northrop Grumman Corp. since February 1, 2008. Ms. Mills serves as the President of Northrop Grumman Information Systems at Northrop Grumman Corp. She served as Head of Information Systems Sector at Northrop Grumman Corp. since January 2009. She served as President of Information Technology of Northrop Grumman Corp. from February 1, 2008 to January 2009. Ms. Mills served as Sector Vice President of Mission Assurance/Six Sigma of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Inc. She served as President of Civilian Agencies Business Group of Logicon, Inc. and Northrop Grumman Corp., since February 1, 2007 and was responsible for business operations and key day-to-day business processes, including overseeing its IT sector infrastructure and establishing a more-disciplined process framework. Ms. Mills served as Senior Vice President of Operations & Process and Vice President of Operations at Logicon Inc. She was involved with and leads many sectorwide initiatives, with the goal of improving the efficiency of cross-functional business processes. She served as Vice President of Operations and Processes of Northrop Grumman Corp. and Northrop Grumman Information Technology, Inc. from October 1, 2005 to February 2007. She served as Vice President of Information Systems & Processes and was responsible for internal information systems, e-Business and the engineering processes. She joined Northrop Grumman in 1979. She served as Vice President for Corporate Global Year 2000 Program that involved designing, developing and implementing a consistent Y2K methodology worldwide. She served as Director of the Treasury Communications System. She joined IT sector from her most recent position as Vice President of Mission Assurance/Six Sigma of Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector. Ms. Mills led the strategy, planning and execution for Six Sigma, a business process to increase customer satisfaction through streamlined operations and improved quality of Northrop Grumman. She led engineering process and quantitative analysis efforts, including Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model-Integrated assessments. Since 1979, Ms. Mills held various positions that include director of the intelligence business segment, project manager for the Requirements Management System Community Management System, as well as deputy project manager of the Ocean Surveillance Information System Baseline Upgrade. She serves on the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors, the Northern Virginia Technology Council Board of Directors, and serves as a Member of various professional affiliations, such as the Association of Computing Machinery and the Institute of Electrical Engineering. She is an active leader of numerous special activities and was awarded the Chief Executive Officer Leadership Award in 2000 and 2001 and the Continuing Improvement Award in 1990 and 1994. She was honored as one of Profiles in Diversity Journal's "Women Worth Watching in 2007" for her leadership achievements. Ms. Mills holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of serves as santa Clara and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois.
