Ken Froot

Ken Froot is a founding partner of FDO Partners, LLC and State Street Associates both of which produce investment and knowledge resources for global investors. He is also the André R. Jakurski Professor of Business Administration at Harvard University's Graduate School of Business. From 1995-2000, he served as Director of Research of HBS and from 1993-1999 he held the Industrial Bank of Japan Professorship in Finance. He has taught executive education programs at MIT, Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth, and for many corporations and institutions.

In 2004, Ken developed the State Street Investor Confidence IndexSM , a key economic indicator for asset owners, investment managers and central banks. As the only index providing a quantitative measure tracking the common buying patterns of institutional investors around the world, the Index offers a unique look into the investment behavior and decisions of thousands of professional investors and their investment decisions.

Ken’s research on a wide range of topics in finance and international economics has been published in many journals and books. He is Editor of the Journal of International Financial Management and Accounting, Associate Editor of the Journal of International Economics. He also edited The Financing of Catastrophe Risk, Foreign Direct Investment, The Transition in Eastern Europe, Volumes 1 and 2.

Ken has served on the staff of the US President's Council of Economic Advisers and the Economic Advisory Board of the Export-Import Bank of the US.
