Katie Mehnert is a global talent development and change executive with 17 years of helping people and companies get curious, connect, share, grow and perform better. She’s a high capacity trusted partner and facilitator skilled at working with boards, executives, front line leadership, and field personnel. Her 17 years of experience in energy and corporate 'big' oil and gas is unique across the value chain. Katie’s art is people and expertise is talent development, capability, and culture change.

Katie is an external thinker, results focused, master facilitator, speaker and coach with unique expertise in operations, risk, safety, planning, human resources, legal/labor, procurement, corporate strategy, supply chain and information technology. Katie re-launched her consultancy, Cognovi Communications this spring and assumed the role of CEO and Founder of Pink Petro™, a social media channel and learning platform to connect women in the energy industry and their advocates. Backed by industry heavyweights, Halliburton and Shell, Katie aims to leverage her unique expertise and passion for learning to take social to a whole new level in an industry starving for talent.

Prior to her latest venture, Katie was a Director of Competence & Capability with BP, joining after the Deepwater Horizon incident and worked in various learning and change leadership roles worldwide with Shell. She’s a dynamic international speaker and author featured in The Singapore Straits Times, CEO.com, Business Insider, and Yahoo.
