Joan Brannick

She helps leaders and managers feel, think, and act differently about finding, hiring, and keeping great people. Through consulting, training, and speaking, Joan works with organizations to create, implement, and evaluate a talent strategy that supports their organization's vision and objectives.

She has authored and co-authored several books including Finding and Keeping Great Employees, a Fortune Magazine "Best Business Book." Her insights on workplace trends and recruitment and retention best practices have appeared in many publications including Fortune Magazine, HR Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal.

With more than 19 years of consulting experience, Joan has worked with scores of public and private organizations representing a diverse range of industries including professional services, retail, telecommunications, insurance, federal government, public utility, manufacturing, and publishing. Joan received her Bachelor degrees in Management and Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her doctorate degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. As an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida, Joan continues to keep abreast of the most recent developments in employee selection and retention.

Joan is a member of the American Psychological Association, the National Speakers Association, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is past President of the National Speakers Association Central Florida chapter. She is also a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. In that organization, she has served on several committees including membership, conference program, and visibility committees. She has also chaired the awards committee and the workshop committee of that organization.
