JoAnne Stone-Geier

Much in demand as a public speaker and consultant in the U.S. and in Europe, JoAnne Stone-Geier travels constantly, giving between 30-50 lectures annually. She was instrumental in developing the Corporate Gift Divisions for Neiman Marcus and Carson Pirie Scott, where product development was the cornerstone of their success. Thereafter, she served as the National Sales & Marketing Director for Jaffa Crystal, one of the largest suppliers to the corporate gift market. Along the way, she honed her skills as an internet marketer and continues to teach retailers, manufacturers, and corporations how to best use the Internet for their own marketing.

Her interest in the food market culminated in her serving as an editor and columnist for Fancy Food & Culinary Products magazine before recently leaving to spend more time writing, lecturing and promoting a new product she co-developed with a fellow Chicagoan. Stone-Geier has been interviewed as an expert for several television shows and publications and served as the gift trends expert for CBS / Chicago for seven years. She is often called upon for interviews and quotes for a variety of consumer and trade publications including Advertising Age, American Banker, the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun Times, Crain’s Business, Entrepreneur, Flowers &, Kitchenware News & Houseware Review, and Museum Store. In addition, she is the co-author with Molly Miller-Davidson of LAUNCH IT!  How to Turn Good Ideas Into Great Products That Sell.

Stone-Geier's client list includes major governments and government groups in the U.S., Europe and Asia plus most major U.S. trade show producers and regional market centers. Across the U.S. she has aided groups as diverse as the Toledo Zoo, the Maryland Hospital Gift Show Association, Grow Nebraska, and the West Virginia Food Co-op.

Stone-Geier is a native Chicagoan who has traveled extensively. Among her many other skills, she is a certified interior designer, who was one of the original pioneer rehabbers in Printer’s Row, a once seedy, now popular neighborhood near downtown Chicago.
