Jim Emerman is Executive Vice President of Civic Ventures, a think tank on boomers, work and social purpose. As Executive Vice President, Emerman is a member of the organization's executive management team and serves as chief program officer, responsible for management and implementation of all Civic Ventures' programs. Prior to assuming his current position as EVP, Emerman developed and directed The Purpose Prize, a $17 million program designed to recognize and invest in social entrepreneurs who are working after the age of 60 to solve important problems in their communities, the country and the world. At the time he joined Civic Ventures in 2005, Emerman was Chief Operating Officer of the American Society on Aging, the largest association of professionals working with and on behalf of older adults.
