Jerome Jewell

As president and founder of Jewell Consulting Group, Jerome Jewell advises organizations regarding strategic challenges in management strategy and organizational development. He has worked with clients in numerous sectors, including airlines, banking, manufacturing, government agencies, information technology, telecommunication and non-profits.

Prior to entering management consulting, Jerome Jewell spent more than 20 years in the corporate arena, where he held a variety of management and leadership positions with global industry leaders including the IBM Corporation, Chase Manhattan Bank and the New York Times.

His 12 years at IBM included extensive international accomplishment, having worked in Greece, Switzerland, Mexico, France, Belgium, Hungary and the U.K. His language skills include Spanish and German.

An executive coach and seminar facilitator as well, thousands of managers from across the globe have attended his management development seminars. Jerome Jewell is a member of the instructional staff of the American Management Association as well as the Management Centre Europe in Brussels, Belgium, and is a former faculty member in Howard University's MBA Program.

He brings to the podium a unique combination of perseverance, probing beyond the obvious and a focus on high-leverage challenges....attributes that he has fine-tuned and depended upon in his non-work endeavors, which include climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, running the Marine Corps Marathon and swimming the Alcatraz Challenge from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco. The lessons learned from these experiences are inseparable from his business experience, offering a lifelong partnership of learning, which Jerome shares with each audience.

He has made numerous appearances on the PBS television talk show LeaderTalk, and his articles have been published in various publications, including Trade and Culture, Delta Airlines Sky magazine, Upscale, The Rocky Mountain News and Women's Business Chronicle. His column, "Beyond The Paradigm" offers insight on strategic business topics regularly in Emerging Markets magazine.

Jerome Jewell holds an MBA from Columbia University. He is currently studying French and hopes to climb Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina, the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere. Having moved his company to Colorado from Washington, DC in 1995, Jerome Jewell will often be found skiing or flyfishing in Colorado's backcountry.
