James Duval

James Duval has been a staple on the American Independent Film scene for almost 20 years, beginning with Gregg Araki's "Teen Angst" trilogy and having appeared in over 60 films. He is probably best known for his roles in "Independence Day," "Go," "Donnie Darko" and "Gone in 60 Seconds," among many others.

Besides "Touchback," he also appeared in the independent features, "All Together Now," with Lou Taylor Pucci, "Sushi Girl" with Danny Trejo and Mark Hamill and "Spinning Dry," which he also co-wrote and produced.

Some high-profile features Duval has co-starred in include Fox's blockbuster hit, "Independence Day"; "Gone in 60 Seconds with Nicholas Cage and Angelina Jolie; Doug Liman's "Go" with Katie Holmes, Timothy Olyphant, and Taye Diggs, "The Weekend"; co-starring with Gena Rowlands and Brooke Shields; and "SLC Punk," starring Matthew Lillard.

Other films include "Two Dudes & a Dream;" "The Art of Travel" with Chris Masterson, Johnny Messner and Brooke Burns; "Evilution" with Guillermo Diaz; "The Black Waters of Echos Pond" with Robert Patrick and Danielle Harris; "Cornered" with Steve Guttenberg; and "Caller ID," co-starring with Peter Green and Nathan Bexton.

Duval was also recently seen in a number of independent features including, "Kush," "Mad Cowgirl," "The Pacific & Eddy," starring Dominique Swain; and "Standing Still," which co-starred James Van Der Beek, Mena Suvari, Ami Smart and Colin Hanks. He also co-starred in "The Red Zone," opposite Freddy Rodriguez, and "Open House" with Kelly Martin and directed by Dan Mirvish.

Other features he has worked on are "May," a modern day retelling of Frankenstein, opposite Angela Bettis, Jeremy Sisto, and Anna Farris, as well as director Richard Kelly's "Donnie Darko" opposite Jake Gyllenhall. That same year, Jimmy starred in the the independent feature "The Doe Boy," which also premiered at the 2001 Sundance Film festival. Jimmy garnered Best Actor awards for his work in the film at the American Indian Film Festival as well as the Wine Country Film Festival.

A constant presence in the Independent Film circuit he looks to continue developing his craft by working in experimental films as shown in "Amerikana" (shot in the 'Dogma' style and format), directed by "SLC Punk's" James Merendino, and "Mad Cow Girl" (co-starring with Sarah Lassez), as well as a number of short films currently traveling the film festival circuit including "Numb" (a surreal journey into the addiction of a junkie) and "Pancho & Lefty" (a classic western with a twist).
