Ian Eagle

He has called play-by-play for the CBS Television Network's coverage of the NFL since 1998. Eagle has served as CBS Sports' play-by-play announcer for the Army-Navy football game since 2002. For the past two years, he has hosted the U.S. OPEN LATE NIGHT SHOW and was the play-by-play announcer for CBS Sports' Pilot Pen Tennis and the NCAA Track and Field Championships. Eagle called CBS Sports' HDTV coverage of the 2000 AFC Championship and the 2001 AFC Divisional Playoffs.

He served as blow-by-blow commentator for CBS Sports' coverage of Showtime Championship Boxing in 2000. Eagle has served as play-by-play announcer for the NBA's New Jersey Nets television broadcasts since 1995 and called play-by-play for their radio broadcasts the previous year. Currently he hosts a weekly show on SIRIUS Satellite Radio with Los Angeles Lakers Head Coach Phil Jackson and a daily NBA program with Kenny Smith. He was the play-by-play radio voice for the New York Jets in 1997. Eagle also was a reporter for TNT's coverage of the NBA playoffs in 1996. He joined WFAN Radio in New York City in 1990 as a producer and debuted as host of his own show in 1992 as well as hosting the N.Y. Jets pre- and post-game shows on WFAN (1993-96).

Eagle also produced "Mets Extra" for WFAN. He is a 1990 graduate of Syracuse University where he was the play-by-play voice of the Orangemen in football, basketball and lacrosse. Eagle was awarded the Bob Costas Award for Outstanding Sportscasting and won a 2002 New York Sports Emmy Award for game coverage of the Nets-Indiana Pacers playoff Game 5.
