Guy LeBas Biography
Mr. LeBas joined Janney in 2006 and is the Firm’s Chief Fixed Income Strategist. In this role, he works closely with Financial Consultants in providing customized investment strategies for a range of institutional and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Mr. LeBas authors in-depth economic and bond market periodicals and provides relative value recommendations across the fixed income spectrum.
Mr. LeBas ranked among the top forecasters of short term interest rates across a period including some of the most volatile markets in recent memory. In addition, Mr. LeBas' economic forecasts also placed him as a Bloomberg Best, leading to a recognition across multiple categories.
Prior to joining Janney, Mr. LeBas was the Interest Rate Risk Manager for U.S. Trust’s bank asset and liability portfolios, a role in which he oversaw risk and return on an $11 billion balance sheet. He received his education from Swarthmore College and is a CFA Charterholder.
