Emily Maynard Biography
Emily Maynard is known for her memorable appearance as the winning contestant on the 15th season of The Bachelor and later, the star of season 8 of The Bachelorette.
Maynard captured the hearts of viewers across America with her heartbreaking story of love and loss. Prior to joining The Bachelor franchise, she was engaged to famed NASCAR driver and team owner Ricky Hendrick. Tragically, Hendrick died in a plane crash in October, 2004. Maynard found out she was pregnant with his child just one week after his death. Their daughter, Josephine Riddick "Ricki" Hendrick was born June 29, 2005.
Despite getting engaged to Brad Womack at the end of her time on The Bachelor, their relationship did not last. In 2012, Emily returned to the show as the Bachelorette, where she dated 25 men, including famous Bachelor alumnus, Sean Lowe and Arie Luyendyk. At the end of the season Emily chose Jeffery "Jef" Holm as the winner. They were engaged for six months.
In 2014 Emily finally found love, marrying Charlotte, NC native, Tyler Johnson. The couple has three sons.
