Edward D. Hendricks

is a Certified Management Consultant, a Certified Association Executive, a Professional Member of the National Speakers Association, a member of MENSA, a Life Member of Disabled American Veterans and has been elected a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives.

Ed is a sought-after keynote speaker, workshop, seminar and breakout group leader, director of leadership/strategic planning retreats, and management consultant to corporations, start-up companies, professional groups, schools, religious institutions, associations and other non-profit organizations. He is also a member of the ordained clergy in which capacity he has served as a career, personal and spiritual counselor, and retreat director for hundreds of individuals and groups. He preaches on a regular basis, and is regularly sought after to speak at churches of different denominations. He is recognized as an inspirational and motivational speaker, and as an accomplished storyteller.

Ed has consulted and presented nationally to dozens of groups and organizations. Internationally, he has been the keynote speaker at such diverse venues as the opening of the Hungarian Stock Exchange in Budapest, the World Management Council in Prague, and the Japan Management Association in Tokyo. He has been a guest lecturer at numerous universities in the U.S. and Europe including: The London School of Economics, University of Copenhagen School of Business and Economics, Karl Marx University, Harvard, Wharton, MIT and NYU. Ed has been awarded the Herbert Hoover Medal for Promoting East-West Understanding by the World Management Council.

Previously, Ed was Director and faculty member of the Leadership Studies Program as well as the Director of the Center for Corporate Education at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT where he continues to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Leadership Studies, Education, Business Communications, and Public Speaking and Communications Skills. Prior to joining the University he was President & CEO of ACME, the international association of management consulting firms. In addition, he was President of the Institute of Management Consultants, and of the Council of Consulting Organizations.

Ed is the author of more than twenty articles on various topics of leadership, relationship marketing, association management, and management consulting. He is the author of two books: "The Insider’s Guide to Consulting Success", and "Successful Business Networking", with a third book "Get on the Right Track and Take Control of Your Life" due in bookstores soon. He is a contributing author of the New York Times Bestseller "Masters of Networking" and of "Taking Charge: Lessons In Leadership".

He has been featured on CNN International as an expert on leadership, on CBS Television’s American Business Journal, for his expertise in training and consulting, by the Associated Press as an expert in business networking, in the Sunday business section of The New York Times for his work in the area of personal growth and development, and in the Connecticut Post as a counselor and coach. He is listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, International Who’s Who, and has been selected as one of the Outstanding Individuals of the 20th Century for his work in consulting and training. Mr. Hendricks serves the State of Connecticut on the Presidential Business Commission, which recognized him as “Businessman of the Year” for 2003 and he is an Honorary Chairman of the Business Advisory Council. He serves on various corporate and non-profit  boards.

Ed received a BA in Political Science, and a BS in Criminal Justice, both summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a Master’s Degree In Criminal Justice from the State University of New York at Albany. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in Education at Capella University.
