Edie Shuman-Gibson

Edie Shuman-Gibson, RDH, BSDH, FADIA is a charismatic, knowledge-wealthy presenter with nearly three decades in the field of dentistry, with the last 19 years focused on implant dentistry. For over 7 years, Edie owned her own private, independent dental hygiene practice called About Face Dental Hygiene Spa, until spinal surgery ended her clinical career. She is the Co-Creator of the life changing seminar called Surviving and Thriving in Your Profession. Her expertise in leadership, business management, sales, health and wellness has helped thousands of people worldwide realize immense personal and professional growth!

Edie is the former Executive Director, Certified Educator and the first Fellow of the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries (ADIA). Edie has also served in upper level management positions for several startup companies including Biohorizons, CareerEngine, and ExperDent.

She serves on the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Practical Hygiene, is a Thought Leader for Hu-Friedy, a make up artist, published author and equestrian. She also volunteers as the Chairman of Tough Enough to Wear Pink, Gunnison Chapter, and a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children). Currently, Edie is a Clinical Advisor/Trainer for the Implant Consortium and an independent speaking professional. She shares her life with her husband Chris and daughter Makaila in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Crested Butte, CO.
