Dyan Cannon

Her diligence and determination have been rewarded by many prestigious honors. Best known to TV audiences for her portrayal of smart, sexy Judge Jennifer "Whipper" Cone on Ally McBeal, Cannon also starred as the vivacious and free-spirited Honey Bernstein-Flynn on NBC's comedy series, Three Sisters.

Cannon received her first Oscar Award nomination for her memorable role as Alice in Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, for which she also received the coveted New York Film Critics Award. She gained her second Academy Award nomination in the category of Best Live Action Short for writing and directing the 48-minute film, Number One, which she also produced, edited, and scored. Her third Academy Award nomination was for her comedic role as Julia Farnsworth, opposite Warren Beatty, in Heaven Can Wait, for which she received the Golden Globe Award. Later that year, she starred in another comedy hit, Return of the Pink Panther, opposite Peter Sellers, and was named Female Star of the Year by the National Association of Theater Owners. As the singular force behind the motion picture The End of Innocence, Cannon undertook the tasks of writer, director, and star. This poignant story illustrates the drama and comedy of one woman's fight for self-discovery.

Cannon's feature-film credits include Author! Author! opposite Al Pacino; The Last of Sheila; Deathtrap, with Sir Michael Caine and Christopher Reeves; The Anderson Tapes, starring Sean Connery; Honeysuckle Rose, in which she played Willie Nelson's wife and made her debut as a country singer; Such Good Friends; Return of the Pink Panther, opposite Peter Sellers; That Darn Cat; Eight Heads in a Duffel Bag; Out to Sea, opposite screen legends Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. The never idle, ever youthful actress traveled to Australia during her hiatus last year to film Jerry Bruckheimer's latest comedy crime caper, Kangaroo Jack, opposite Christopher Walken and Jerry O'Connell.

Cannon devotes much of her time and energy to several charitable organizations, including her own Outreach program, which helps people re-ignite their lost dreams; Martine Collette's Wildlife Waystation; Operation Lookout, an organization which finds and returns kidnapped children; the H.E.L.P Group and the Special Olympics.
