He is an active member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), NSA/Colorado, and the Colorado Society of Association Executives (CSAE). In addition, the recordings of his programs on branding at the 2003 NSA Western Workshop and the 2004 NSA National Convention were both top-ten best sellers.

Dick served as president of the NSA/Colorado Chapter for 2005-2006, and was a member of both the NSA National PR Advisory Task Force and the Biola University Studio Task Force. He is, also, the recipient of the CSAE 2003 Associate of the Year award. For 2003-2004, Dick served as a reporter for VOE and as the Chair for the NSA Writers & Publishers PEG.
