David Zamora

David M. Zamora was raised in a small community on the outskirts of Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating from high school, he attended community college for a few years. David then entered the work force to learn the entertainment business as a talent and advertising agent. At the age of 25 he married and began an 18 year career in broadcasting at a local a television station. He and his first wife, the mother of his son, divorced after only 5 years of marriage, but have remained the best of friends. While employed at the television station, David added leading tours for youth groups to his daily agenda and helped raise thousands of pounds of food for a local food bank. Excited about serving the community, he started his own production and entertainment company called Zamoravision. David eagerly donated entertainment for organizations such as the Childrens Center for the Visually Impaired, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and many others.

David remarried and soon realized how badly a guide was needed to help men in divorced situations cope with the EX-wife/EX-husband hate and resentment aspects in a separated family. Continuing in his spirit of community service, he and his wife created U & I, A Reason to Smile, a non profit organization dedicated to helping single parents, divorced parents, and children from families separated by difference. Through this organization, events, gifts and services were provided to help encourage separated families facing challenges. U & I, A Reason to Smile also created a music CD. The creation of this CD not only helped aspiring musicians fulfill a dream, but also helped raise money to assist single parents and their children.

Davids first book, Generation EX, is just another step in the direction of giving total encouragement to all children and their parents, married or separated. He asks you to consider how you can keep your childrens best interests and emotional well being in your heart as you work to create a persistent and positive attitude when facing challenging situations in your new relationship with your EX. Compromises, communication, focus, resources, patience, and faith will help you realize that peace and happiness for all of you, yes even in a separated family, is definitely a possibility and a plus!

Currently, David, who is the proud father of 2 children, 2 stepchildren, and grandfather of 7, is an author, freelance cameraman, community volunteer and motivational speaker for groups and parents. He devotes his time to bring back the smiles and bridge the gaps in split families.
