Some speakers just talk about sales and marketing. David Blaise has been living it his entire life. At the age of 15, he was hired as a radio announcer in his home town of Reading, Pennsylvania. In an effort to get more advertisers to request him to do their spots, he began “tweaking” their sales copy. Soon his ads were out-pulling those written by veteran copywriters with over twenty years experience. As a student at Northwestern University, he narrated television and radio spots for extra money while his friends were serving up fast food. Within weeks of graduation, he was hired as a commercial production director in Philadelphia.
