Thompson Square is an American country music duo composed of husband and wife Keifer Thompson and Shawna Thompson. The pair blend classic rock, country, and singer-songwriter influences into a contemporary country-pop sound. Keifer Thompson and Shawna Thompson moved to Nashville during the same week and connected after competing against each other in an amateur singing competition. Both pursued solo careers in Nashville before deciding to form a duo. In the years leading up to their breakthrough, Thompson Square built a grassroots following through frequent performances at small clubs, fairs, and rodeos across the United States, refining their harmonies and stage presence while navigating the independent music circuit.

The duo signed to Stoney Creek Records, a sister label of Broken Bow Records. Their single "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not" became their first number one on the Hot Country Songs chart and was the most played song of the year on country radio. The track achieved double Platinum status and spent 40 weeks on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Thompson Square received two Grammy Award nominations for "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not" in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song categories. Their self-titled debut album achieved Gold certification and reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, while the follow-up, "Just Feels Good," peaked at No. 4.

Thompson Square won Vocal Duo of the Year at both the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Awards, becoming the first married duo to achieve this distinction at the CMA Awards. They also received the Academy of Country Music Award for Vocal Duo of the Year. Their fifth single, "If I Didn't Have You," reached number one on the Country Airplay chart, marking their second chart-topping hit. Thompson Square has earned multiple No. 1 hits, six Top 20 hits, seven mainstream industry awards, and more than 25 award nominations. The duo has appeared on major media outlets including The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, CBS This Morning, Fox & Friends, Elle, Glamour, People, Rolling Stone, and USA Today.

Thompson Square has faced significant personal challenges, including Keifer Thompson's diagnosis with a vocal cord hemorrhage and polyp during touring, which required several months of vocal rest and resulted in a full recovery. Shawna Thompson has managed chronic back pain from years of touring, leading to surgery and rehabilitation. The duo self-released their third album, "Masterpiece," and published a children's book, "Time To Get Dressed," which teaches children how to prepare for their day. They released the single "Country In My Soul," co-written by Lainey Wilson, which became one of the most added songs of the week on country radio, followed by the single "Without You." Thompson Square continues to contribute to the country music industry through authentic storytelling, vocal chemistry, and resilience.
