"Tajir “TheCoachWharton” Wharton is the owner of TheCoachWharton LLC. and President of Sac Showcase LLC. He is an inspirational speaker who has a profound way of communicating that drives people towards better choices, stronger leadership, the power of working hard, better mental health, overcoming depression, and many more topics. For the past decade youth, companies, sport teams, and conferences around the world have gained so much from his powerful presentations on understanding how to beat the odds and overcoming obstacles.
Husband, father, teacher, coach, collegiate and professional athlete, and philanthropist, Wharton believes by teaching High School Science he has positive connection with youth. By winning Conference Championships while playing collegiate and professional football and traveling to South Africa to speak for hundreds as an ambassador for a Non-profit organization, Samaritan's Feet Inc., at the age of 13, he was able to understand that life it is precious, and the mind is a powerful tool.
Wharton received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from NC A&T State University. He was a three-year letterman and Inspirational Captain on the football team, where he played Defensive Back and Special Teams. While pursuing sports as a player he has landed opportunities such as participating in try-outs for NFL and CFL Teams in 2016 and 2017. In 2017, he signed a football contract with the Brisbane Outlaws of the NGL of Australia, but unfortunately the NGL was cancelled and never played a game. In 2018, 2019, and 2020 he finished his football career with Arena Football Teams.
While in school he was selected to be a panel speaker for the Collegiate 100 Black Men of America Conference where he had the opportunity to be featured on a panel with other influential men as they discussed college, technology, depression, and mental health within the community with over 1000+ students. He has also had the privilege of being the Keynote Speaker for the Benton Youth Initiative Conference where he had the opportunity to engage with over 200 Students and Parents discussing overcoming obstacles as a college student and parent.
Today Wharton is an Ambassador for the Non-Profit Organization, Samaritans Feet Inc. With Samaritans Feet Inc. he has been able to travel to South Africa twice where he has Spoken to many Students. He was also selected by the organization to speak at their Champions of Hope event where he shared how his life has been impacted by traveling to South Africa at a very young age. Wharton currently has five years of experience in High School Education as a Science teacher and has 7 years of coaching High School Football and Track. He continues to devote time mentoring and impacting youth daily while keeping God at the forefront of his life. Wharton and his wife, Rachel, live in North Carolina with their two children, Carsen and Tari.
