Andrea Rose

Andrea Rose is an inventor, entrepreneur, fashion designer, and author whose career spans multiple industries and decades of innovation. Rose studied fashion at Parsons School of Design and in Italy, launching her career with an apprenticeship under Halston. As a fashion designer on Seventh Avenue, she developed a global clientele with a couture collection focused on classic design. Raised in a financially challenged environment, Rose earned a cum laude degree from the University of Pennsylvania before establishing herself as a fashion designer in New York City.

After more than two decades in fashion, Rose transitioned to invention, developing a virtual reality technology that allowed online shoppers to create a personal virtual model, try on clothing, and receive size, fit, and fashion consultation based on body type. She patented this technology, which was licensed by major online retailers including Lands' End, H&M, and Sears, influencing the evolution of e-commerce and online shopping experiences. For this system, Rose received the "Female Inventor of the Year" Award.

Rose's journey included legal challenges when her invention was used without authorization, leading to litigation and eventual settlement. Over time, her work expanded to more than 100 inventions in categories such as beauty, fashion, housewares, and consumer products. Her portfolio has earned recognition from organizations including the Tesla Science Foundation, and her work has been featured in newspapers and magazines globally. Rose has also appeared on national television, representing her products on QVC.

Rose founded The Inventors Road Show, a nationwide platform supporting inventors and entrepreneurs in bringing ideas to market. She developed a step-by-step methodology for inventors and has conducted more than 150 live workshops, including sessions at Microsoft in New York City. Rose is the creator of the online course "Inventing to Win: Your Road to Inventing" and the author of several self-help books for inventors and entrepreneurs. She leads multiple Meetup groups for innovators with a combined membership exceeding 6,000. In fashion, Rose authored books including "Secrets of a Fashion Designer: How To Become Your Own Fashion Consultant," "100 Quick Fashion Tips," and "24 Hours of Accessorizing," and created the Stylefitter Virtual Personal Fashion Advisor to help women identify their body type and personal style. Rose has been recognized as a notable writer, inventor, fashion designer, and artist by Marquis Who's Who, reflecting a career that continues to influence inventors, entrepreneurs, and women in business.
