Todd Boehly

Todd L. Boehly is an investor and entrepreneur recognized as the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Eldridge Industries, a diversified holding company established following a career in finance. Boehly began his finance career at Citibank and CS First Boston before joining Guggenheim Partners, where he contributed to the development of its credit business and served as president. He holds a B.B.A. from The College of William & Mary, where he later founded The Boehly Center for Excellence in Finance, and also studied at the London School of Economics.

Eldridge Industries was formed as a platform to pursue investments across multiple sectors. The company employs more than 5,000 people and has invested in over 100 operating businesses, including Security Benefit, where Boehly serves as chairman, A24, Fulwell Entertainment, and Penske Media. Penske Media's portfolio includes The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Billboard, Rolling Stone, Vibe, Music Business Worldwide, dick clark productions, Life is Beautiful, and an investment in South by Southwest. Eldridge Industries and Dick Clark Productions acquired the assets of the Golden Globe Awards from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Forbes has estimated Boehly's net worth at $9.3 billion.

Boehly has also made significant investments in professional sports. He joined a group of investors led by Mark Walter, including Magic Johnson and Peter Guber, to acquire the Los Angeles Dodgers for $2.15 billion, marking a record-setting transaction in sports team ownership. Under this ownership group, the Dodgers have consistently performed well, including multiple playoff appearances and a World Series win. Boehly, in partnership with Clearlake Capital, also acquired Chelsea Football Club for $5.25 billion, setting a new benchmark for sports franchise transactions. In 2026, he exited his ownership stake, handing full control to Clearlake Capital. Additionally, he co-owns Ligue 1 football club Strasbourg under BlueCo, reflecting a multi-club ownership strategy in European football.

Boehly serves on the boards of the Los Angeles Lakers, Flexjet, PayActiv, CAIS, Chelsea Football Club, Cain, and Vivid Seats. His philanthropic efforts include support for epilepsy research, the Focused Ultrasound Foundation, the Prostate Cancer Foundation, Brunswick School, The College of William & Mary, and The Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream.
