Samantha Bee

Samantha Bee first gained prominence as a correspondent on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart", where she eventually became the longest-serving regular correspondent in 2011, surpassing Stephen Colbert's record. Her tenure on this show earned her the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female TV Performance in 2005. In 2004, she had her first starring role in the feature film "Ham & Cheese", which earned her a Canadian Comedy Award for "Pretty Funny Female Performance". In 2015, she ventured into late-night television as the first woman to host a late-night satire show with the debut of "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee" on TBS, a show she created, wrote for, and executive-produced until its cancellation in 2022.

In addition to her work on "The Daily Show" and "Full Frontal", Bee has been involved in a number of other television projects. She was an executive producer of the TBS comedy series "The Detour" from 2016 to 2019, a show she created with her husband, Jason Jones. In 2017, she hosted "Not the White House Correspondents' Dinner", which aired on TBS, and in 2018, she formed a production company, Swimsuit Competition, focused on creating original content for television. She has also been recognized for her influence beyond television, being named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine in 2017.

Her work in television and film has earned her numerous accolades, including the Dorian Award for TV Current Affairs Show of the Year and a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Variety or Talk Show Episode for "Full Frontal". She has also been nominated for several Primetime Emmy Awards, winning the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special in 2017. Beyond the screen, Bee has authored books such as "I Know I Am, But What Are You?" and "Cracking Up", and since 2023, has hosted the podcast "Choice Words with Samantha Bee", produced by Lemonada Media.
