Rus Anderson is a Scottish-born musician and actor renowned for his tribute performances as Elton John. Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, he began playing piano at a young age, learning his first Elton John song, "Daniel," at just four years old.

In 2003, Anderson moved to the United States to attend college. While studying, he performed at various venues in Florida, including piano bars and beach stages, covering Top 40 songs. Audience members frequently noted his resemblance to a young Elton John, inspiring him to develop a tribute show focusing on the artist's 1970s performances. Anderson's act gained popularity, leading to the formation of "The Rocket Man Show" in 2009. His commitment to authenticity extends to wearing costumes previously owned and worn by Elton John.

In 2017, Anderson's dedication caught the attention of Elton John and his team. He was handpicked to serve as Elton John's official body double for the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, recreating pivotal moments from John's career for promotional videos and on-stage visuals. This collaboration involved reenactments of iconic performances, such as the Troubadour debut in 1970 and the Dodger Stadium concert in 1975. Beyond live performances, Anderson has been involved in various media projects, including portraying John in the metaverse for an official Roblox experience.
