Peter Hermann

Peter Hermann is an American actor, producer, and writer known for his work in television, film, and theater. A graduate of Yale University with a degree in English, Hermann began his career as a high school English teacher through Teach For America and worked as a fact-checker for Vanity Fair magazine before transitioning to acting. He is fluent in English, German, Spanish, and French.

Hermann has held a recurring role as defense attorney Trevor Langan on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," contributing to the legal drama genre and establishing his presence in television. He portrayed Jeremy Glick in the feature film "United 93" and appeared in the Broadway premiere of Eric Bogosian's "Talk Radio" alongside Liev Schreiber. His stage work also includes a role in the Broadway play "War Horse."

On television, Hermann played publisher Charles Brooks in the comedy-drama "Younger," appearing in 38 episodes. He also joined the cast of "Blue Bloods" as Jack Boyle, Erin's ex-husband, in a recurring role. Additional screen credits include "13: The Musical," "Goodnight Mommy," and an episode of "And Just Like That…"

In addition to his acting career, Hermann authored the children's book "If the S in Moose Comes Loose," illustrated by Diana Cain Bluthenthal and published by HarperCollins.
