Martin Hoffmann

Martin Hoffmann is the chief executive officer and chief financial officer of On AG, the Swiss sportswear company known for its innovative running shoes and global presence. He became sole CEO on July 1, 2025, after serving as co-CEO and CFO since 2021. Hoffmann joined the company in 2013 as CFO, when On was still in its early stages, and has been instrumental in its transformation from a startup into a publicly traded brand listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Before joining On, Hoffmann was the chief financial officer of Valora Retail from 2009 to 2013, overseeing financial operations for the European retail group. Earlier in his career, he worked in business management consulting at CTcon GmbH from 2003 to 2009.

At On, Hoffmann has played a central role in expanding production capabilities, strengthening financial strategy, and leading the company through rapid international growth. His leadership has included guiding On’s 2021 IPO and helping establish the brand’s high-profile partnerships, including its collaboration with tennis champion Roger Federer.

A graduate of the University of Kaiserslautern, Hoffmann holds a diploma in business management and computer science. Known for combining financial discipline with entrepreneurial vision, he has emphasized the importance of integrating strategic oversight with creative brand building. Under his leadership, On continues to expand globally while pursuing innovation in sportswear and performance technology.
