Larry Elder

Larry Elder is a prominent conservative talk radio host, attorney, author, documentary filmmaker, and political commentator, widely recognized as the "Sage of South Central."

Elder hosted a weekday evening talk show on Los Angeles talk radio station KABC, and the show was nationally syndicated through ABC Radio Networks and later Salem Media Group. Throughout his media career, Elder has developed a diverse portfolio, earning a Los Angeles Area Emmy Award for the KCAL-TV News special "Making Waves – LAUSD." He hosted the court series "Moral Court" and "The Larry Elder Show," a syndicated talk show. Elder received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has been recognized with an AEGIS Award of Excellence, an Emerald City Gold Award of Excellence, and a Telly Award for hosting the PBS program "National Desk."

As a filmmaker, Elder executive produced the documentary "Uncle Tom," which explores the history of Black conservatism in America. He also created the self-financed film "Michael & Me," offering a rebuttal to Michael Moore's "Bowling for Columbine."

Elder is an author and columnist, with books including "The Ten Things You Can't Say in America" and "Showdown: Confronting Bias, Lies, and the Special Interests That Divide America," both of which have achieved bestseller status. He began writing a nationally syndicated column through Creators Syndicate, and his commentary has appeared in publications such as Los Angeles Daily News, Townhall.com, and Investor's Business Daily. While primarily known as a conservative, Elder also identifies as a small-l libertarian, advocating for limited government.

Elder's influence extends into the political arena. He ran as a candidate during the Gavin Newsom recall election, receiving the most votes among the 50 candidates seeking to replace the governor. Elder later pursued a presidential campaign, ultimately withdrawing and endorsing former President Donald Trump. He returned to the Salem Radio Network, with his show distributed via Salem Podcast Network and Salem News Channel. Elder also hosts the podcast "Larry Elder – We've Got a Country to Save," which has reached significant download milestones. Elder remains a leading figure in American conservative media, known for his commentary on politics, law, and social issues.
