Krystal Campbell Biography
Krystal “The Pistol” Campbell is a huntress, outdoorswoman and reality TV star, who is known for starring in A&E series, "American Hoggers." The show followed the Campbell family, comprising of retired Texas Ranger, Jerry Campbell, his son, Robert, and daughter, Krystal. The Campbells’ professional game of hunting and specifically, the removal of feral hogs in Texas was the subject of the series.
During the show’s airing, rivalry came in between the siblings regarding who should run their father’s hog hunting empire. This led to the fallout of Campbell with her family. She ultimately quit to start her own business, Wild Women Hoggers, with Lea Penick. Afterward, she left outdoor and hunting for a while to continue her studies. She graduated with a degree in psychology from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Campbell had talked about her plan to pursue her doctorate after that.
Although she arose to fame as a hog hunter, Campbell’s love of the outdoors ranges far beyond that. Campbell has taken mountain lions, coyotes, deer, turkeys, upland and migratory game birds, alligators, bobcats, hogs and a black bear that qualified for SCI Record Book as the fifteenth largest black bear to be taken by a pistol. She also enjoys fishing and bow hunting.
