Katherine Timpf

Kat Timpf is a journalist, comedian, author, libertarian commentator, and comedian known for her work across American media. Timpf serves as co-host of "Gutfeld!" on Fox News weeknights and as a Fox News analyst. "Gutfeld!" is recognized as a top-ranked late-night program. She is a former columnist for National Review. She is a breast cancer survivor and advocate for research and continued education.

Early in her career, she worked as a reporter for Campus Reform, a digital editor for The Washington Times, a news anchor for NASA's Third Rock Radio, and as a producer and reporter at Total Traffic Network in Santa Ana, California. She was also a Robert Novak Fellow, completing a project titled "As California Goes, So Goes the Nation: The Consequences of Following Golden State Policy."

Before joining Fox News, Timpf performed stand-up comedy on both coasts, appearing at The Improv in Los Angeles and Gotham Comedy Club in New York City, and became a featured comedian on Baltimore's 98 Rock morning drive radio show. Her background in comedy contributed to her landing a position with Fox News, with her breakthrough occurring during an appearance on Greg Gutfeld's "Red Eye." She went on to co-host "Fox News Specialists" and became a regular contributor across the network.

Timpf is a prolific writer, having worked as a columnist for National Review for nearly six years. She co-hosted the weekly Fox News Radio podcast "Tyrus and Timpf" with professional wrestler Tyrus. Her media presence extends to hosting the weekend comedy show "Fox News Saturday Night" and co-hosting the reality game show "What Did I Miss?" with Greg Gutfeld and Jamie Lissow on Fox Nation.

As an author, Timpf's debut book became a New York Times Bestseller, as did her second book, "I Used to Like You Until…" Her first book, "You Can't Joke About That: Why Everything Is Funny, Nothing Is Sacred, and We're All in This Together," reached No. 1 on Amazon in Political Humor and topped the Publishers Weekly bestseller list for hardcover nonfiction. Her second book, "I Used to Like You Until…," examines the dangers of binary thinking and its impact on institutions, relationships, and individual freedoms. The national tour of her comedy live show, "You Can't Joke About That LIVE," sold out in theaters across the country.

Timpf identifies as a libertarian, advocating for limited government, minimal involvement in economic policy, and individual autonomy in social decisions. Her libertarian perspective and use of comedy and satire distinguish her in political commentary. This approach earned her recognition on Variety's New Power of New York list.
