At a recent event, two of our speakers arrived on time, ready for their moderated Q&A session. But another speaker, booked outside of AAE, was delayed due to travel issues and wouldn’t make their original speaking slot. That could have meant a missed session, but thanks to quick thinking and teamwork, it didn’t.
The event planner and AAE worked together quickly to explore a backup plan. We approached our two speakers about adjusting their schedule to fill the delayed speaker’s time slot. Both were willing to move some calls around, shift their commitments, and step in earlier in the day. Their flexibility gave the delayed speaker enough time to arrive and present later on.
Because of that quick pivot, every speaker was able to take the stage, and guests didn’t miss a single session.
