Her article "30 Million Gallons Under the Sea" was a finalist for the 2015 Reed Environmental Writing Award and her work, “Death on the Dakota Access,” was named among The Best Stories of 2018 by Pacific Standard Magazine.

She frequently provides expert commentary on television and radio, appearing on platforms such as NBC Today, BBC World News, and Democracy Now!. Juhasz is also a regular speaker at institutions like the New York Museum of Modern Art and Yale University. She holds Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Public Policy from Georgetown and Brown, respectively.
