Ruby Rose

Ruby Rose is an Australian actress, model, television presenter, and DJ known for her work in film, television, and the music industry. Rose first gained national prominence as a presenter on MTV Australia, later co-hosting television shows such as "Australia's Next Top Model" and "The Project." She credits her self-produced short film "Break Free" for helping launch her acting career, describing how she created short films to study her craft when traditional industry opportunities were limited.

Rose's breakout role came when she was cast as Stella Carlin on seasons three and four of Netflix's "Orange Is the New Black." Her performance in the series contributed to the cast winning a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. She has stated that her back surgery was a contributing factor in her decision to leave the series. Throughout her career, Rose has been open about her personal challenges, including experiences with bullying and mental health, and has served as an ambassador for Headspace, focusing on youth mental health awareness.
