Purple Disco Machine is the stage name of Tino Piontek, a German nu-disco and house music producer, DJ, and remixer known for blending funk, soul, and dancefloor-focused grooves. Piontek began his musical journey inspired by classic funk sounds of the 1970s and 1980s. Dance music became central to his life in the mid-1990s, when he and friends pooled resources to buy turntables and vinyl, organizing parties for classmates.

Piontek performed under the pseudonym Stereofunk from 2005 to 2012 before adopting the name Purple Disco Machine, marking the release of his first productions. Stereofunk produced two albums, several singles, regular festival appearances, and secured a major label deal during its 15 years of activity.

Purple Disco Machine achieved a breakthrough with the hit "My House" on OFF Recordings, which reached the top of Beatport's deep house chart and number three overall. The track "Body Funk" gained widespread play at festivals and clubs, further establishing Piontek as a prominent DJ, producer, and remixer in the electronic music scene. He released the collaboration-heavy full-length album "Soulmatic" and reached mainstream audiences with the European chart hit "Hypnotized" featuring Sophie and the Giants. Piontek has also created remixes for artists such as Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue, and Elton John. "Hypnotized" topped the singles chart in Poland and achieved triple platinum status in Italy.

As Purple Disco Machine, Piontek has become a leading figure in the disco revival, performing at major festivals and clubs while developing a signature sound that incorporates elements of disco, house, and funk. His catalog includes original albums and streaming hits like "Hypnotized" and "Fireworks." He has produced notable remixes, including a rework of the Human League's "Don't You Want Me" and tracks for Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, and Kylie Minogue. His remix of Lizzo's "About Damn Time" earned him a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording. Additional remix credits include Jamiroquai, Two Door Cinema Club, New Order, Claptone, Tom Odell, Faithless, Shapeshifters, and Hercules & Love Affair.

Piontek's album "Exotica" featured collaborations with the Knocks, Elderbrook, Eyelar, and Francesca Lombardo, while "Paradise" included appearances by Nile Rodgers, Chromeo, and Duke Dumont. Purple Disco Machine's catalog has accumulated nearly one billion streams and over 9 million monthly listeners on Spotify. As a touring DJ, Piontek performs at clubs, festivals, and events worldwide, including the UK, USA, Australia, Germany, Spain, and France. He is a resident at Glitterbox events in Ibiza and has performed at Pacha.
